Carpentry isn’t just for the boys! If you have a daughter between the ages of 5– 8 who loves to tinker, build, create … this class is for her! The  3-week Tinkering Bells series is designed to teach girls the foundations of woodworking.
The series begins with an introduction to the trade and a carpenter’s most precious tools … her pencil and tape measure. Girls will be taught simple, hands-on lessons regarding the value of math and measurement in woodworking … measure twice, cut once!

At the close of WEEK ONE, girls will have successfully measured, marked, and cut the pieces for their final build … a castle puzzle!

WEEK TWO will focus on various hand and power tools found in every carpenter’s shop. Tools such as the hammer, speed square, nails, screws, sanding paper, and the scroll saw. And Yes … our Tinkering Bells will have an opportunity to try out the scroll saw for themselves. *please note, puzzle pieces will be pre-cut by Kids Learning Carpentry, LLC however, girls will be allowed to make practice cuts using the saw.

WEEK THREE will focus on the finishing and design aspects of carpentry. With their puzzle pieces in place, the Tinkering Bells will design and paint their castle, sand the edges and finalize to take home.

SPACE IS LIMITED! REGISTER NOW!
